CoolMax Taurus Series Silent Power Supply Reviews
Written by Matthew Sprunger | Date: 1.30.2004 | Manufacturer: Coolmax
Today we're bringing you a review of two power supplies from CoolMax's Taurus Series, their line up of silent power supplies. The Taurus Series comes in both black and silver finishes and have models ranging from 300 watts all the way up to 550 watts.

The CoolMax power supplies come packaged in these somewhat flashy boxes. Included in each box is, of course, the PSU, a power cable, a manual, a 20 pin to 24 pin power adapter and a 4 pin to 8 pin power adapter. These last two are not something you see in every power supply. In fact, these two power supplies from CoolMax are the first PSUs that have included such adapters. These two adapters make it possible to use this PSU not only with a board using the normal 20 pin ATX connector, but also those that use 24 pin connectors. While I do not own any 24 pin boards, this is a great feature from CoolMax.

Read on to find out how these two units perform and if they would be a perfect solution for those looking for a quiet computer.
