Thermaltake Xaser V Damier Review
Written by Justin B. | Date: 3.28.2004 | Manufacturer: Thermaltake
The interior of this case is rather complex; so much, in fact, that I'm making an entire page dedicated to wires:

Wow! That's an intimidating set of wires there, especially in a bare case without a system or PSU installed! Notice instantly in this case that it's very deep, something not ordinarily seen in a case that is so relatively short. Let's break down these wires to see what they all do:

The Xaser 5 Damier includes a rheobus/temp monitor panel, so these wires are used to hook up your fans and detect your system/CPU temperatures for display. One connector is used to hook up to the PSU, which passes on power to the fans and the display itself.

The wires shown here are for the top ports, and they hook directly up to your motherboard and sound card headers. This is something I don't see in a lot of cases; they usually make you route the cables out the back. However, on the other hand, hooking up extensive mobo headers without a quick disconnect makes parts swapping a real pain.

In the front of the case, are several connectors to hook up the front fan, and front panel light-up panel. Also, seen in the background is the inverter, which is strategically placed right next to the HDD bay.

Shown here are the normal case header wires for the power switch and lights. Basically what you'd expect on any case.
