Installation of the BT009X and then the BT500 was very easy. The included directions were very easy to follow and made installation of the BT009X and the BT500 very easy.
This presicion of the BT500 is quite nice. I loaded up photoshop and edited a few pictures and the presicion was good. Part of this, I feel, was due to how lightweight this mouse is. It is very easy to slide across the mousing surface quickly.
I tested the BT500 for gaming in both UT2K4 and FarCry. I enjoyed how easy I was able to slide the mouse across my mousing surface and how quickly it responded, especially in comparison to my large and weighty Logitech Cordless MouseMan Optical. My only complaint with the BT500 in gaming is the buttons are a bit harder to push than most mice. I would have liked to see the buttons easier to push.
The BT500 has a power switch located on the bottom of the mouse so that when you are not using the mouse you can turn it off. This is also nice for if you decide to use the BT500 paired with a laptop and you want to take the BT500 with you. I am concerned about the battery life of the BT500. With the included batteries, I left the mouse on 24/7 and the batteries only lasted about 6 days for me. I would recommend that if somebody were to purchase the BT500, that they also pick up some rechargeable batteries.
