If you know anything about RAM, you'll know that the buzzword around the forums lately has been "BH-5". Ever since this was discontinued, people have been searching all over for it, and paying exorbitant prices for it, thanks to its ability to hit insane speeds at high voltage without making you kill your timings.
The bottom line, though, is that BH-5 can't be bought new, and is available in very limited quantities only from people selling their old sticks. Corsair realizes this, and realizes that overclockers want fast sticks for their AMD setups (which are dependent on latency). Therefore they have brought us their new 3200XL memory.
A bit of info...
The XL memory uses Samsung's TCCD chips, which are actually DDR500 chips, but Corsair has built them on the PCB marked 3200XL, and designed to run at 400Mhz with 5-2-2-2 timings (in layman's terms, those are very good timings). The RAM comes in 1GB kits or individually sold 512MB sticks, and can be bought in either Pro (with LED light indicators) or regular editions. (There is no known performance difference between the two-- it's just for decoration, that's it and that's all.) They are designed to run at a default voltage of 2.75v, so make sure your motherboard supports this voltage (though we tested at default settings with 2.6v and it worked fine).
