Coolmax seems to have out done their selves this time around, not only offering to back up your data to a USB 2.0 enclosure but also backing up your entire operating system. Your entire operating system if you are using Windows XP or Windows 2000 that is, all past MS operating system users are out of luck. Also if you use Linux you are also out of luck as this "OS" back up drive it is made only to work with XP and Windows 2000. So can Coolmax deliver the goods they are promising? After opening up the box you get your first look at the "OS" back up drive and the accessories that Coolmax gives you when you purchase this enclosure. You get the OS back up drive, USB 2.0 cable, power cable, software and owners manual.

The OS back up drive is made out of plastic and looks like a big X. On the top is three small buttons, OS back up, data back up and restore. The bottom is vented to let heat escape that will build up during use. The back side of the enclosure is where you will plug in the power connector, USB cable and the on/off switch.
