SilverStone TJ-05 Review
Written by Justin B. | Date: 11.16.2004 | Manufacturer: SilverStone
We've looked at a lot of cool SilverStone cases in the past-- from their Temjin series, to their Lascala home theater series, to the miniature GD98-LED mATX case, we thought that we've seen it all until we got the TJ-05 from our buddies at Sundial Micro. Today we're going to go through the ropes of this lovely black case shown here:

This all-steel mid tower comes in your choice of a silver or black finish, of which we received the latter. The 20-inch-tall TJ-05 tips the scales at almost 30 lbs, so you might want to think twice if you're planning to hit the LAN parties. At home nestled under your desk, it should look pretty good.

The front drive bay door opens with a bit of a scratching noise; not sure if this is a defect in our sample or in all TJ-05 cases, but probably something that could be fixed with a file. Upon opening, it reveals the 4 5.25" bays and single 3.5" bay for floppy users, a welcome addition to this case that was not found in the TJ-03.

Below the belt are a couple of stylish faux vents, along with a high-tech temp gauge, the usual Power and Reset buttons, and the LEDs.

To the right side of this case are the USB, FireWire, and audio ports.

This windowless case does feature something interesting on the left panel-- a latch. This eliminates the need for thumbscrews in the back, though some are included just in case. To open the door, simply unlatch it and pull it off as you would any other case door.

Now to check out the interior...
