Antec has always been known to be a high-end quality manufacturer of power supplies and its good to see that they have not become complacent. The NeoHE is one of their newest lines of power supplies, with the emphasis on efficiency. In fact, the "HE" in NeoHE stands for high efficiency. With that in mind, Antec's NeoHE 550W maybe the one power supply that will saving you more money than any of its generic brethren in the same class. Before we jump into how and why you should care about efficiency, let's take a look at the basics.

The NeoHE 550 is not the sexiest looking power supply. And by sexy, I mean shiny. The power supply is incased in a gunmetal aluminum. No shiny reflection of your elite neon glow, water-cooled, diamond encrusted motherboard here. If you are looking for a mirror finish, I suggest looking for something like the OCZ Powerstream. But we all know that looks will only carry you so far. Luckily, the NeoHE 550 has much more to offer than just being shiny:
Nvidia SLI and ATI CrossFire Certified
AQ5 "" 5 Year Warranty
Highly Efficient (up to 85%)
Modular Cable Management System
Universal Input with Active PFC
3 Independent 12V Rails (total of 54 Amps)
Industrial Grade Protection Circuitry
All of these features, together, make the NeoHE one of the best power supplies I've ever reviewed, I've ever used, and ever laid my hands on. If I were stranded on a desert island, and for some cruel and unusual reason I got to take a power supply with me, this would be it. For those of you who are not convinced, or would like to know more about why I believe this is the best power supply in the world, continue on.
