Above is an overall shot of the Gigabyte 7N400 Pro motherboard. The board has the typical blue PCB we've seen in many generations of Gigabyte motherboards. A recent addition Gigabyte has made to the visual layout of their boards is the fluorescent slots and ports. With a board this colorful, no case will go dull.
The board certainly does not lack in features. It includes
- nForce2 Ultra 400 chipset, supports 400Mhz FSB CPUs
- 4 DDR slots
- Silicon Image SATA controller
- GigaRAID ATA/133 RAID controller
- Realtek LAN
- Realtek ALC650 audio chip
- Gigabyte DualBIOS
- 5 PCI slots
Certainly not lacking anything there...the audio is SoundStorm certified, which doesn't mean a whole lot if you're using analog out, but if you're using the digital out with your digital speakers, the SoundStorm will make a night-and-day difference.
The 5 PCI slots would normally be a downside, but with this many features, the need for PCI cards is lessened.

Move on to the layout of the board...
