DFI has turned their reputation around big-time in the past year or so. Not too long ago, DFI was a name you might consider for a cheap, reliable board for an office PC, but not something for a hardcore overclocker or a LAN-goer. DFI has turned that around by offering tons of features, flashy looking boards, and lots of overclocking options. We've already looked at DFI's top AMD board, the Lanparty NFII Ultra, but today we're covering the Intel side of things-- DFI's Infinity i865PE board.
The Infinity series is pretty much the same as the Lanparty, but without the same accessories or the UV reactivity. However, it sports a much more attractive price tag, which puts it in competition with other performance boards. The price of the Lanparty series is prohibitive for many, and a good portion of system builders (myself included) don't necessarily need the features of the Lanparty series, so why pay for them? That's what the Infinity is for. I guess you could call it the "muscle car" of DFI's lineup; great performance, low price.
